The Anatomy of writing a video script
The journey of a great video starts with a well-crafted script.
You do not have to have years of writing experience to create a script that is both engaging and enjoyable to the targeted audience.
By following a proven model/structure, you can write a good script for your business or brand.
Excited?
Let’s break it down.
1. Clearly define the purpose of the advertisement.
It could be anything from driving website traffic to a shop, getting leads, announcing a grand opening or promoting an end-of-season sale.
2. Write down who your client is
Describe everything including gender, age, income group, interests, focus, wishes, activities.
If you have somebody in your mind, do talk to them to know them better.
3. Start with describing the problem
Talk about the problem of your target audience. Highlight how these problems affect their day-to-day lives.
4. Introduce the solution
Now that you have got the attention of your viewers by touching their pain points, you can introduce the solution in the form of your brand/product/service.
5. End with a clear call for action
What action do you want your viewers to take after watching your video? Describe it clearly towards the end of the video so that you give the listener a way to act and also prompt that activity.
